We at Mach9 work very hard to make sure users get the best results possible while adding as little extra work to your existing workflows. There is no need to clean up a dataset before uploading it to Digital Surveyor.
That being said, in some cases of heavy traffic noise and parked cars, it does not hurt to help remove out certain objects if it can be done easily during data registration.
