Layers Panel Overview
In Digital Surveyor’s viewer, the Layers Panel can be found on the left hand side of your browser’s screen. This is where users can interact with a data set’s automated surveys as well as the feature layers for each survey. Any line or object created for a survey project will be listed somewhere on the layers panel.

The naming that a user sees listed will match the Feature Layer Template that was used for the Automated Survey request

Working with a Layer
Selecting an Active Layer
In order to place an object, draw a line or use any tool in the bottom toolbar a feature layer needs to be selected and active. Any line drawn or object created will be placed on the active feature layer by default. This can be switched later on once the action is complete.
Double clicking on a layer in the layer panel will make it active. When a layer is active, a user will see it highlighted and a circle will appear next to the name.

Hide a Layer
When hovering over a layer an eye icon will appear. Users can toggle this to turn the layer off in the display view.

Select a Single Line or Object
A user can expand any of the layer categories to view and select a single object in them. To the right of each layer name in parenthesis is a total count of how many features are in that layer. In the expanded list, a user can select a single object to bring up the properties menu for it on the right.
Pro Tip: Users are able to jump to the next feature up or down the list using hotkeys - or =
