An object in Digital Surveyor is viewed as any single point object. Many that can be generated by Digital Surveyor’s automation appear as unique objects, while others may just appear as a sphere on the point cloud.

To place a new Object users must have an object feature layer active. They can then use the Hotkey B or select the Object icon in the Bottom Toolbar Menu.

A user can then left-click anywhere in the point cloud to place the object. By default a sphere will be placed where the user clicks. For Mach9 Object features that have an object model (such as fire hydrants, utility poles and signs), the object model will appear as well.
